Non Resident Kallooppara Association (NORKA) is formed as a result of the innovative thinking done by a bunch of Kalloopparites who were working in U.A.E. The main aim was to have a home away from home and thus keeping in touch with the fellow Kalloopparites. Thus the organization was started in 2005 aimed at the welfare of Kalloopparites working abroad. From then onwards the organization has grown in leaps and bounces and has received a lot of appreciation from all around U.A.E.

NORKA has always taken great care in providing its members with all the support and help whenever needed. The organization was also instrumental in uniting all the Kalloopparites working in different parts of the Gulf countries and bring them under a common roof. NORKA was always keen in conducting family get togethers and celerations on Onam, Christmas, Vishu, Ramzan etc.

Now NORKA has started concentrating on Community services as well. Also help and guidance is given to job aspirants in gulf and also to people who face personal and professional issues abroad. Another aim of NORKA is to be a part of the social and economical development of Kallooppara and its nearby places and also to start educational, technical and charitable organization for the betterment of the society

Started as a small organization with limited members , now NORKA has grown to an organization of more than hundred families. The members get together periodically at the house of any one of the members.

NORKA's activities are being managed by a Governing body which consists of a President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditors etc. The general body is elected yearly by the members.
